Actually, it helps a lot when it comes to getting creditors to lower the fees they charge you.  In fact, according to this article, 87% of cardholders who asked for a late fee to be waived and 69% who asked for a lower interest rate, were successful.

 

If you have credit card debt, this is a no brainer.  Pull out your phone and call the number on the back of the card. – now!
